  • About Ivor Ellul

    With more than 30 years of experience in engineering and technology management, Ivor Ellul currently serves as chief executive officer of Knowledge Reservoir. Since he founded the firm in 2000, it has helped corporate clients with issues related to new ventures, pipeline engineering, and natural resource exploration. Leading up to his present position, Ivor Ellul held a variety of leadership roles in the industry. Most recently, he was the chief operating officer and management consultant for Kitba Consulting Services, Inc., a position he accepted following his tenure as president of Smedvig Techologies, Inc.
     

    Ivor Ellul earned a doctor of philosophy in petroleum engineering from Imperial College in London, where he also served as a research fellow in the Mineral Resources Engineering Department. As a researcher, he created the code for a multiphase fluid-flow software package to solve two-phase, three-dimensional, turbulent recirculating flows. He has coauthored a number of articles on the subject, which appeared in international conference proceedings and Chemical Engineering Research and Design. Additionally, Ivor Ellul’s articles on offshore facilities design, multiphase system modeling, knowledge management, and other topics have appeared in publications such as the SPE Journal of Petroleum Technology, Petroleo International, and Knowledge Management in Oil & Gas.
